Bid Writing – get skilled support

Bid development and optimisation

Are you fed-up of loosing bids and not really knowing where you went wrong? Or do you have a must-win contract and want expert input on your submission?

If this sounds like you, I can help. I’ve been writing winning bids for over 15-years, learning the dark art of bid writing and how to improve the impact on the bid evaluators.

By appointing me to develop and improve your bid, you will increase the chances of winning the tender, and learn how to apply my framework for success on future bids.

    End-to-end procurement & funding support

I can support your organisation or charity throughout the entire process, including:

    • Contract or funding identification
    • Developing compelling responses to bid questions
    • Creating high-quality auxiliary information.

Are you ready to win more tenders?

I helped to increase a clients’ turnover by 100% from the previous year, by winning twelve public sector contracts over a 12-month period.  Two other clients have kept me on retainer for over 14-years due to the value I consistently add to their businesses.  More about my client partnerships (..soon).

If you are serious about improving your bid-win rate and are prepared to invest in professional support, then please read my process and FAQs below

    Bid support process

    1. You provide the bid questions and any draft content for me to review
    2. I estimate the time needed to develop your answers and send you a fee quote with a letter of engagement
    3. We agree a mini project plan with target timescales to meet the deadline in good time
    4. I develop your initial responses, rewriting answers and suggesting areas where we can add detail and clarity; I can also create auxiliary information to enhance and add further credibility
    5. We finalise and agree each response to create the final bid version, which I can help you submit.

More details about the way in which we can work together is also described through the answers to my frequently asked questions below.

    Bid writing FAQs

Got a question which isn’t answered below..? Please contact me so I can respond to it, or arrange for us to have a call.

Q: Can I hand my tender over to you and let you get on with it… I’m really busy and need someone to take care of it.

A: My approach is to collaborate on each submission in order to get the best exchange of ideas and information. I need access to you or your team to unlock extra depth and breadth of information needed for your bid. Through questioning and exploring your initial responses, I can expand and evidence each answer to provide the credibility needed to help win your tender or grant.

Q: We need someone to write this entire bid from scratch – can you draft something for us to take a look at?

A: In order to provide authentic responses, I need you to tell me what your organisations processes, approach or experience looks like, even if that’s just bullet points, so I have something to work with.

Q: How do we share tender documents and collaborate effectively on bids?

A: I recommend SharePoint, DropBox or Google Drive as file sharing platforms. You can access your bid submission at any point to check on progress, and easily respond to my questions or comments.

Q: What happens if you have two clients who want your support on winning the same bid?

A: I will only support one client in bidding for any given contract, to avoid a conflict of interest. Furthermore, I don’t take on any new clients which bid against organisations I currently support, or who are their direct competitors.

Q: Do you offer a no-win no-fee bid writing service?

A: Most bids are price sensitive which means your tender price has a significant impact on whether it is successful or not. Whilst my bid skills will help improve the overall score of the qualitative element of your submission, I don’t advise on fees or pricing strategy. For this reason I don’t work on a no-win, no-fee basis.
